Frequently Asked Questions
-
The process for creating a custom t-shirt can vary depending on the specific needs and preferences of the customer, but here is a general overview of the steps involved:
1. Consultation: The graphic designer and customer discuss the design requirements and preferences, and the designer asks questions to gather information about the project.
2. Design: The designer creates a concept based on the information gathered during the consultation. This may involve sketching ideas, selecting colors and fonts, and creating digital design mockups.
3. Review: The designer presents the design concept to the customer for review and feedback. The customer may request changes or revisions to the design.
4. Finalize: Once the customer approves the design, the designer finalizes the artwork and prepares it for printing.
5. Production: The t-shirts are produced using the chosen printing method and materials.
6. Delivery: The finished t-shirts are packaged and delivered to the customer.

If you have a specific deadline, let us know and we’ll do our best to meet it.

Generally, we cannot cancel or change an order once it has been placed. We will do our best to make any requested changes; however, if we cannot, please be advised that cancellation may not be possible due to the custom-printed nature of each order.
Please remember that we cannot make changes or cancel an order after it has been shipped, and our packages do not qualify for mail forwarding. We are not responsible for lost or misdelivered packages if incorrect or old address information is provided on an order.

How do I wash my T-shirt?
Here are some quick washing instructions:
• Turn the shirt inside out.
• Machine wash cold.
• DO NOT USE bleach or fabric softener.
• Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry.
• Do not iron design.
Look below for more detailed instructions, “How to Care for Decorated Apparel.”
-
First and foremost, Follow the Label.
For instance, the garment may say, “Do not iron.” Often, it’s because the fabric is heat-sensitive. Given that, recommending washing in cold water is a safe bet.
When garments are in the wash, they rub up against one another. By keeping the item turned inside out, you’ll reduce the abrasion factor.
Hanging dry is always best, but let’s face it…real life often doesn’t allow for that.
If you must use a dryer, do so on a low tumble dry. It might take a little longer, but it will help preserve the garment's integrity and transfer design.
Don’t Dry Clean
Dry clean. It sounds so gentle, doesn’t it? Don’t get fooled! Dry cleaning solvents will break down the adhesives in both heat transfers and heat transfer types of vinyl.
Don’t Use Fabric Softeners
Fabric softeners are going to dull your shine! They create a cloudy film on the surface of heat transfer ink (which is what our transfers are made of). Yikes.
Add to that the fact that it takes away one of the significant benefits of cotton materials – absorbency. This is why it’s often recommended not to use fabric softener on your towels (or if you do, do so infrequently).
Don’t Use Oxy
Many people don’t realize that solidified hydrogen peroxide is the primary ingredient in oxygenated laundry products. While it’s incredibly effective at removing stains and even killing some germs, have you ever spilled hydrogen peroxide on your clothes? Just like bleach, it can remove pigment. That’s precisely the effect it will have on a decorated garment.
Don’t Iron Over Transfers or Decals
This one is straightforward.
If it’s necessary to get wrinkles out, it’s time to go old school.
The garment can be hung in a bathroom with the shower running to steam the wrinkles out. Alternatively, you can use a garment steamer to move quickly across the garment and not hover too long over the decorated areas. Lastly, as a last resort, throw it in the dryer with a damp washcloth (if the item can be put in a dryer, of course) for a few minutes.

When ordering custom items, you have several printing methods to choose from. Each works best for different materials and project types. At beralo graphics, we offer a range of printing options for apparel, drinkware, and accessories. This allows you to pick the method that fits your design, quantity, and product type.
Screen Printing
Also known as silkscreen, screen printing is the most popular t-shirt printing method. It involves using a nylon mesh that holds the stencil in place and waterproof material that keeps the negative space on your item from becoming damaged.
The ink is spread across the screen using a squeegee. Then, the screen is removed, and the item is left to dry and cure.
Screen printing is one of the oldest methods used to print t-shirts, but it is still among the most popular because it produces vibrant, long-lasting designs for large orders.
Direct to Film (DTF) Printing
Direct to Film involves printing a design onto a special film. The design is then coated with adhesive powder, cured with heat, and transferred onto the shirt using a heat press.
DTF works on cotton, polyester, and blends. It produces strong, flexible prints with good detail and durability. It is ideal for smaller runs and designs with multiple colors.
Direct to Garment (DTG) Printing
Direct to Garment printing is another popular t-shirt printing method. It works something like a paper printer in an office but instead of loading paper to the printer, you load the t-shirts.
The information is transferred in the form of a design that’s input to a computer and sent to the printer. After pretreating the shirt, the printer then is able to lay down the ink. This method allows 1 shirt to be possible.
DTG is a great solution for highly detailed artwork as it picks up small details with a high degree of accuracy.
Dye Sublimation
Dye sublimation is an ideal method for printing onto polyester t-shirts. It is more expensive than other processes but produces precise, high-resolution results.
The method requires using a special dye that dries and solidifies when it comes into contact with polyester. For that reason, you will want to use polyester tees for dye sublimation. Other materials will not produce the desired outcome.
The dye sinks into the material using heat and pressure, creating a vibrant and long-lasting design.
If you are having t-shirts printed, it’s essential to be familiar with the various printing options. That way, you can be sure your merchandise looks its best.
All-Over Printing
All-over printing covers the entire surface of the shirt with a design instead of only the front or back. The process usually uses sublimation, where the design is printed on transfer paper and then heat-pressed into the fabric.
Because the ink becomes part of the fibers, the result is a smooth print that does not crack or peel. This method is best for polyester fabrics. It allows for bold patterns, gradients, or artwork that extends seam-to-seam without borders.
UV Printing
UV printing is used on drinkware, tumblers, mugs, keychains, and other accessories. The process uses ultraviolet light to cure ink directly onto the surface, layer by layer, while UV lamps instantly harden the print.
This method produces sharp, durable designs with vibrant colors.
Which of these options do you feel are suited to your needs?
-
Because every custom piece is created just for you, all sales are final once the design is approved. This ensures we can start production quickly and bring your vision to life exactly as planned.
-
Once you approve the final proof, we get right to work printing your shirt. At that stage, we’re unable to cancel the order or issue a refund.
-
We encourage you to take your time reviewing the proof before giving the green light. Once you approve it, the design is considered final and will be printed as shown.
-
We take pride in our work, but if there’s ever a manufacturing defect or printing error on our end, we’ll replace it at no cost. Just let us know within 7 days of receiving your order and send a few clear photos so we can make it right.
-
If printing hasn’t started yet, small changes might be possible. The sooner you reach out, the better the chance we can adjust it before production begins.
-
High-resolution PNG, PSD, PDF, or vector files (AI, EPS, SVG) work best for the sharpest results. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to guide you.
-
We do our best to match colors as closely as possible, but slight variations may occur due to differences in screens and printing methods.
-
Yes! We love working on group or team projects. Contact us for custom pricing and timelines.
-
We can only print designs you own the rights to or have permission to use. We cannot produce designs that infringe on copyright or trademark laws. This helps us protect your order and avoid legal issues.
-
We take pride in using high-quality materials and printing methods designed to last. However, all garments, especially those made from natural fibers like cotton, may experience slight shrinkage or fading over time, especially if not cared for properly.
To help preserve the look and feel of your custom item, we recommend:
• Washing inside out with cold water
• Using mild detergent (no bleach or fabric softeners)
• Tumble drying on low or hang drying
• Avoiding direct ironing on the printed area
If your item shows unexpected shrinkage or fading despite following these care instructions, please reach out to us. We’re happy to review the issue and find a solution that works for you.
-
There are no minimum order requirements. You can order one shirt or many. Keep in mind that shipping costs do not decrease for smaller quantities. Ordering multiple shirts often results in a better overall value since shipping rates stay nearly the same regardless of quantity.
-
Material choice depends on each customer’s needs and budget. Some prefer premium shirts for long-term wear, while others want affordable options for limited use. During consultation, we discuss how the apparel will be used to find the best fit.
Common materials include:Cotton for comfort and breathability.
Polyester for durability and moisture control.
Blends like cotton-poly for balanced feel and performance.

Each printing method serves a different purpose. Choosing the right one depends on your artwork, fabric, quantity, and how the product will be used. Here’s a quick guide to help you decide:
Direct to Garment (DTG)
Best for small orders and full-color artwork with photo-quality detail or gradients.
Works well on cotton and cotton-blend shirts.
Perfect for single or short-run prints, personalized items, or one-off designs.
Direct to Film (DTF)

Offers high durability and stretch resistance.
Ideal for small or medium-size runs where color vibrancy and versatility matter.
Screen Printing
Best for large quantities of the same design.
Produces bold, long-lasting prints with strong color coverage.
Works best with vector graphics, logos, and designs with fewer colors.
Sublimation Printing
Used for 100% polyester garments or coated hard items like mugs and tumblers.
Produces all-over, edge-to-edge designs with bright, permanent color.
Perfect for sportswear, uniforms, and promotional items.
UV Printing
For non-fabric products such as drinkware, keychains, and accessories.
Prints directly on flat or slightly curved surfaces with permanent, scratch-resistant color.
Not for shirts or fabrics.
All-Over Printing
For designs that cover the entire shirt or garment from seam to seam.
Works only on polyester fabric using sublimation.
Excellent for bold patterns, full-graphic tees, and statement pieces.
